Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson was suspended by the Chiefs for two weeks because of his use of a homophobic slur and his criticism of his head coach, Todd Haley, via his Twitter account. In an exchange with another Twitter user, Johnson referred to the other user's profile picture with a slur, calling it a "[expletive] pic" and calling the user a "Christopher Street" boy. Christopher Street in New York City is associated with the city's gay pride movement. Johnson has apologized for the slur.
