    On October 27, 2008, Johnson was charged with simple assault for spitting his drink in the face of a female. Johnson posted a $500 bond and was released. The maximum penalty for the charge is $500 and 180 days in jail.     On March 27, 2009, Johnson accepted a plea deal for two assault charges from an October 2008 night club arrest. He pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace and was sentenced to two years probation.
