Larry Hughes is a professional shooting guard for the Sacramento Kings. Hughes started his NBA career with the Philadelphia 76ers in 1998. Since then, he's played for the Golden State Warriors, Washington Wizards, New York Knicks and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Early Life
Larry Darnell Hughes was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Hughes attended high school at Christian Brothers High School in Missouri. He continued his education at Saint Louis University. Pro Career
In his first season with the Sixers, Hughes averaged 9.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in 50 games. In 1999, Hughes was traded to the Golden State Warriors. The following season with the team, Hughes averaged 16.5 points in 50 games. He was traded to the Washington Wizards in 2002. Hughes recorded his best season in the 2004-2005 campaign, when he averaged 22 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game. Before the 2005-2006 season, Hughes signed as a free-agent with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He spent several seasons with the Cavs, helping the team reach the NBA Finals in 2007.
