Larry Gelbart was a comedy writer who developed and wrote several episodes of the TV series MASH. Gelbart also wrote and co-wrote several movies, musicals and plays. He was awarded with two Tony Awards.
Gelbart died on September 11, 2009 at the age of 81 in his house in Beverly Hills, California. Gelbart started writing for TV when he was 16 years old as one of the writers for the TV series Caesar's Hour. He developed the TV series MASH and wrote the pilot and several episodes.
