Larry Fitzgerald is a wide receiver for the NFL's Arizona Cardinals. Declaring himself for the 2004 NFL draft, Fitzgerald was the third overall selection out of the University of Pittsburgh. Fitzgerald played college football for the University of Pittsburgh from 2003-04 and is one of the most decorated players in school history. In 26 games with the Panthers, Fitzgerald caught 161 passes for 2,677 yards and 34 touchdowns. He finished second to Oklahoma quarterback Jason White in the 2003 Heisman Trophy voting as a sophomore. Fitzgerald won the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award as well as the Biletnikoff Award that goes to the best player in Division I-A (now Football Bowl Subdivision) college football. His last year there, Fitzgerald set an NCAA record for a sophomore with 1,672 receiving yards. Those yards and his 92 receptions also set Big East records.
Fitzgerald was a two-time all-state and prep all-America receiver at Academy of the Holy Angels High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Fitzgerald's girlfriend, Angela Nazario is claiming that in October of 2008, she visited him at his Arizona home with their son. 2009 Season
Fitzgerald started all 16 games for the Cardinals. He finished with 97 receptions for 1,092 yards and 13 touchdowns. He had six receptions for 82 yards and two scores during Arizona's 51-45 Wild-Card Round playoff victory over the Green Bay Packers on January 10, 2010. He added six receptions for 77 yards in the 45-14 loss to the New Orleans Saints in the Divisional Round of the playoffs on January 16.

2008 Season
Fitzgerald made a case for himself as the best receiver in the NFL with his performance in the playoffs. In four games, Fitzgerald had 30 receptions for 546 yards - going over 100 yards in each game - and seven touchdowns. He had seven receptions for 127 yards and two scores in Arizona's 27-23 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII after recording nine receptions for 152 yards and three touchdowns against the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL championship game.
