Larry Birkhead

Larry Birkhead is an entertainment photojournalist and father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby Dannielynn Smith.

Danielynn Smith was born on September 7, 2006 to Vickie Lynn Marshal aka Anna Nicole Smith. Birkhead, Smith's former love interest, steadfastly maintained his contention that he was the baby's father and filed a lawsuit to challenge paternity once he found out that Smith was pregnant. Smith moved to Nassau, Bahamas, where the Danielynn was born in order to avoid a case and potential paternity test. Following Smith's death Birkhead filed an emergency order to get custody of the child. He was one of several men claiming paternity, including Howard K. Stern, Mark Hatten, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt and Smith's former bodyguard Alexander Denk. Birkhead was later proven, by a DNA test provided by Michael L. Baird, to be the father.

Most recently Larry Birkhead has been in the news surrounding rumors of homosexuality due to the book coming out by Rita Cosby.
