Larenz Tate is an African-American film and television actor. He is the youngest of three sibling actors. At the age of nine his family moved to California. Convinced by their parents to enter a drama program at the Inner City Cultural Center, the trio didn't take the lessons seriously until classmate Malcolm-Jamal Warner's ascent to fame after being cast in the The Cosby Show.
