CBS News correspondant Lara Logan was beaten and sexually assaulted after being mobbed in a group of over 200 protesters in Egypt, the new authority announced Feb. 15, 2011. While covering the celebrations in Tahrir Square the day Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak stepped down from office Feb 11, Logan got separated from the crew and was surrounded by the "frenzy" of protestors. "She was surround and suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers," according to CBS News. Affairs Scandal
In late June 2008 reports began to surface that Logan was involved with two men while reporting from Iraq. According to reports, the two men actually confronted each other at one point and had a fight in Baghdad. One has been identified as Michael Ware, a CNN correspondent. Daring Interview
In an unprecedented interview with one of America's top antagonists in Afghanistan, Logan spoke with warlord Gulbeddin Hekmatyar at his secret mountain hideout. The interview aired on CBS News, June 17, 2008. According to Logan's report, Hekmatyar has attacked U.S. forces since the onset of the 2001 Afghan invasion, but has eluded concerted efforts to capture him.
