  • Lanvin is a high-end French fashion house founded by Jeanne Lanvin. What began as simple dressmaking for her daughter, soon became a look that would name Jeanne Lanvin as one of the most influential designers in the 1920's.
  • Early Career

    Originally designing clothing only for her daughter, Jeanne Lanvin's garments caught the attention of others who wanted clothing for their own children. Soon she was creating dresses for famous names around Europe and opened a boutique. Within a few years Lanvin would expand to menswear and home decor as well as a signature fragrance that was introduced in 1927.

    Since Jeanne Lanvin's death, several designers have lead the fashion house debuting seasonal collections. First beginning with Lanvin's daughter Marie-Blanche de Polignac, followed by Castillo, Bernard Devaux, Jule-Francois Crahay, Patrick Lavoix, Maryll Lanvin, Robert Nelissen, and Cristina Ortiz.
