What Went Wrong?
According to witnesses, one red aircraft was attempting to take off, at which point it lost power and was flying too low to the ground. It banked hard, attempting to turn around and return to the airport, but clipped a white plane that was on the ground. After the collision, the red plane broke into pieces and spun around, coming to rest under the trailer of a parked semi-truck. The two pilots in the moving plane were killed, but no one on the ground was believed to be injured.WPFB (West Palm Beach): 2 Killed In Small-Plane Accident At Lantana AirportBrad Colson, a witness to the crash, said the engine tumbled away from the rest of the aircraft, but incident could have been much worse, had the spilled fuel ignited.WPFB (West Palm Beach): 2 Killed In Small-Plane Accident At Lantana Airport
