On January 15, 2009, 19-year-old Lamar Roberts was sentenced to 36 years in prison in connection with the beating death of 7-year-old- Zoe Garcia. Tragic Death
Roberts and Trujillo were babysitting Trujillo's younger sister, Zoe Garcia, on December 6, 2007. Roberts attacked Garcia and reenacted martial arts moves from the Mortal Kombat video game on the young girl. An autopsy found that Garcia had suffered over 20 injuries, including a broken wrist, internal bleeding and brain swelling.
