Pam Babcock, a 35-year-old woman from Kansas, allegedly sat on her boyfriend's toilet for two years. Her boyfriend, 36-year-old Kory McFarren, brought her food and water during that time. Babcock reportedly wanted to remain on the toilet against the wishes of her boyfriend.
When police came to remove her from the bathroom, they found the woman's skin had grown around the toilet seat and her legs were atrophied. The toilet seat had to be pried off the toilet in order to bring her to the hospital, where doctors removed the toilet seat from her body. McFarren was charged on March 17, 2008 with mistreatment of a dependent adult. Babcock remains hospitalized, where doctors say the damage done to her legs may cause her to be wheelchair bound in the future.
