Lady Bird Johnson was the wife of President Lyndon Johnson. She set a precedent for First Ladies by helping to pushing the Highway Beautification Act into law. She is known as one of the more proactive First Ladies, and occupied The White House in a turbulent time during the height of the Vietnam War.
