  • Early Career

    Nagy began his career playing junior hockey in his native Slovakia in 1995. He was drafted 177th overall in the 1997 NHL Draft by the St. Louis Blues. Nagy continued with the HC Kosice in the Slovak Extraliga, or the top professional league in Slovakia, for one additional season before coming to the United States. He then spent one season in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League before making his NHL debut with the Blues in 1999.
  • Recent Years

    Nagy was traded to the Phoenix Coyotes on March 13, 2001. Also in 2001, for the first of three consecutive years, he played with the Slovak National Team in the Ice Hockey World Championships. He helped the team win one gold medal in 2002 and one bronze medal in 2003. Nagy stayed with the Coyotes for roughly five seasons, including in 2006 when he played in the Winter Olympics. Just before the NHL trade deadline Nagy was traded again, to the Dallas Stars on February 12, 2007. Following the season he entered the free agency and signed with the Los Angeles Kings on July 2, 2007.
