Los Angeles, California, mother La' Tonya Dixon shot her two sons on October 17, 2009. Her five-year-old son Christian was killed, which the one-year-old son was in critical condition of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-mother18-2009oct18,0,6949060.story
Dixon reportedly called 911 after the incident, telling the dispatcher that she had shot her two boys. Police arrived to find her on the balcony of her apartment waving a handgun. She was eventually arrested.http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-mother18-2009oct18,0,6949060.story
