LA Ink is a reality show on TLC that follows Kat Von D and the events of "High Voltage Tattoo" in Los Angeles. After having a falling out with Ami James, co-owner of Love Hate the tattoo parlor featured in TLC's Miami Ink, Kat Von D moved to Los Angeles, opened up her own shop called High Voltage Tattoo and was offered her own show.

High Voltage Tattoo is located at 1259 N. La Brea Avenue, Hollywood, California. There is a $200.00 shop minimum. When filming appointments must be set up in advance and a deposit is required at the time of booking. No appointments are necessary when they are not filming.

L.A. Ink took the Miami Ink slot on TLC until the new season starts in the fall. Miami Ink is not canceled.
