L7 (band)

L7 was an all-female rock band which debuted their punk-influenced music in the mid 1980s.

Though associated with Seattle grunge, Los Angeles-based L7 was well-established in the Southern California post-punk scene. The band achieved considerable notoriety for their on-stage antics, which included a used tampon removed and thrown into the crowd, and one band member offered (and received) as a sexual prize to an audience member.
