L.A. Law was a critically acclaimed legal drama about a group of attorneys at the fictional law firm of McKenzie-Brackman. Created by Stephen Bochco, the series was one of the most popular shows of the 1980s and earned the Emmy for outstanding drama four times (1987, 1989, 1990, and 1991). It also shares the record for the most Emmy nominations for individual performers in a series in one year, with nine.
