  • Kylie Minogue is an Australian pop singer and actress who rose to fame with her elaborate music videos and stage shows. Although the singer battled breast cancer in 2005, she was able to maintain her popularity selling over 60 million records worldwide.   • Career

    Minogue began her career with roles on soap operas at the young age of 12. She made her singing debut in 1983 on the show Young Talent Time. Three years later, she landed a role in the soap opera Neighbours.

    Minogue released her debut album titled Kylie on July 4, 1988. The following year, she starred in the film The Delinquents. She went on to play in several more films including Street Fighter, [[Moulin Rouge!]] and Voyage of the Damned. On November 10, 2007, Kylie appeared on the television show titled The Kylie Show. Her more recent works include White Diamond, The Vicar of Dibley and Men Behaving Badly.

  • Breast Cancer

    Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer after an initial misdiagnoses. She underwent surgery on May 21, 2005, in a Malvern, Australia hospital. She was treated with chemotherapy after her surgery and made her first post surgery public appearance on July 8, 2005. She went on to release a new single titled "Over the Rainbow." Her children's book titled The Showgirl Princess, written during her sickness, was published in October of 2006.
