Kyle XY

Kyle XY was a television series about a boy found in the woods with unusual abilities, no memory and no idea how to interact in the world and the family that helped him. In January 2009, ABC Family announced that the third season would be the last for the series.

A teenager is found wandering the streets of Seattle. He doesn't speak, and seems disoriented, and he doesn't have a navel. He is taken to a juvenile detention center, where therapist Nicole Trager, concerned about his welfare, decides to take him home for a few days to treat him. She learns that Kyle absorbs information much more rapidly than any person she's met, or even read about. Kyle becomes a part of the family, and spends the next year trying to learn his origins while also wrestling with the normal pitfalls of teenage life. As the show continues, and he learns where he came from, larger mysteries unfold concurrently with many of the standard teenage troubles.

Kyle XY was a surprise hit for the ABC Family network. Up to that time, it was the network's highest rated original series premiere - a 2.1, unusually high for a cable network. It has continued its ratings success and built up a large fan base.
