Kyle MacLachlan

American film and television actor Kyle MacLachlan plays the role of "Orson Hodge," the troubled dentist, on Desperate Housewives. On Sex and the City he was cast as "Trey MacDougal," and also took part in cult classics Twin Peaks and Blue Velvet.

MacLachlan made the move to Hollywood after graduating from the University of Washington. He started working with filmmaker David Lynch, and would continue to work with him for much of MacLachlan's career. Their projects together include Dune, Twin Peaks, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, and Blue Velvet.
