  • Early Years

    Calder began his career with the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League in 1995. He was then drafted 130th overall in the 1997 NHL Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks. Calder made his NHL debut during the 1999-00 regular season with the Blackhawks. He split his first two seasons between the NHL and the Blackhawks' AHL and IHL affiliates. Following his first full season in the NHL, Calder was selected to play in the 2002 NHL Young Stars Game.
  • Recent Career

    Calder played for the Sodertalje SK in the Elitserien, or Swedish Elite League, during the 2004-05 NHL Lockout. After returning from the lockout, Calder was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers on August 4, 2006. Just six months later he was traded back to the Blackhawks, then to the Detroit Red Wings, on February 26, 2007. He finished the season with Detroit, then signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Kings on July 2, 2007.
