  • 2009 Season

Kyle Busch was involved in a huge 10 car crash at the 2009 Daytona 500 during lap 124. The crash was instigated by Dale Earnhardt Jr., who attempted to pass Brian Vickers. When Vickers blocked Earnhardt, and tried to move back into position, Earnhardt caught the back of Vickers and triggered a major crash. As a result, Kyle Busch was eliminated from the race.

On February 21, 2009, Busch became the first driver to win two NASCAR national touring series races in the same day.
