Kwame Brown plays as a center for the Detroit Pistons. As a highly-thought of draft option in 2001, he was the first player ever selected number one overall coming straight out of high school. Drafted by the Washington Wizards, then headed by Michael Jordan, Brown had a slow start and failed to fulfill what people believed he could bring to the Wizards.
Brown was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2005 with Laron Profit for Chucky Atkins and Caron Butler. Los Angeles traded Brown to the Memphis Grizzlies in February of 2008 with Javaris Crittenton, Aaron McKie, the rights to Marc Gasol and two future first round picks for Pau Gasol and a 2010 draft pick. He signed with the Pistons as a free agent in 2008. http://www.nba.com/playerfile/kwame_brown/bio.html
