Kurt Thomas is a 6’9” power forward currently playing for the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks. Thomas’s career started in 1995 when he was drafted by the Miami Heat and he has played for six other teams total before he came to Milwaukee.
Thomas has four children, three daughters named Gabriella, Abigayl and Isabella, as well as a son, Kurt Jr.
In 2001, Thomas was given the “Beyond the Game” award for creating the “Kurt Thomas Investment Challenge.” This program endeavors to teach high school students about the stock market and a general sense of financial responsibility. Thomas has managed to make it so that each year’s winners get college scholarships and highly sought after internships with investment companies. The program is offered in New York, Phoenix and Seattle and Thomas has plans to start it in Texas as well.
Thomas also serves as a spokesman for the National Neurofi bromatosis Foundation. This foundation is seeking a cure for the disease which causes tumors to grow on the nerve endings, causing great pain.
Kurt Thomas 2010 Playoffs
In the 2010 playoffs, the Milwaukee Bucks squared off against the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. The Bucks lost the first two games of the series but managed to rally for a three games to two lead, but could not close the series out and lost the final two games, being bounced from the playoffs in the first round.

Kurt Thomas 2009-10 Season
More of a bench player at this point in his career Thomas only started nine of 70 games played. He was also the subject of trade rumors as the league came up against the trade deadline but the Bucks decided they were a better team with him on the roster in the end.

Kurt Thomas 2008-09 Season
Kurt spent the 2008/09 season with the San Antonio Spurs after being traded there in the middle of the 2007/08 season. Thomas was considered a valuable part of the Spurs’ player rotation but did miss time with a hamstring pull that saw the team limit his action early on in the season.
The 2007/08 season was the first time since the 1997/98 season with the Dallas Mavericks that Thomas was able to play in his native state of Texas and the 2008/09 season was the first time he was able to play in his native land for two consecutive seasons.
