Kurt Busiek is a comic book writer and the creator of comic book series Astro City, an original anthology series which explores the reactions of ordinary people, superheroes and villains to the events transpiring in Astro City. The scripts make liberal use of first person narration delivered by the story's protagonist. Who that protagonist is changes from story arc to story arc, which may run anywhere from one to seven issues.
Busiek also has a long career writing for established characters. His career began with a 1982 back-up story for Green Lantern and continued with stories for The Avengers, Iron Man, Superman and Spider-Man. Busiek began a Conan series in 2003 for Dark Horse Comics and is planning a limited edition series for DC Comics called Trinity. Trinity will unite Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in one narrative arc.
