Kristen Wiig is an American comedienne and actress who studied with the Groundlings comedy group in Los Angeles. In 2005, Wiig became a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live. Some of her recurring characters include Aunt Linda, the movie critic; The A-Hole Girl from "Two A-Holes" (the guy is played by Jason Sudeikis); Penelope, the overbearing show-off; Jean, the introverted co-worker who participates in orgies; and the aloof Target cashier. Wiig is also known on the show for doing impressions of Nancy Pelosi, Suze Orman, Bjork, Barbie, Drew Barrymore and Jamie Lee Curtis.
In 2007, Wiig had a small role alongside Katherine Heigl in the film Knocked Up. She also made appearances in The Brothers Solomon, Walk Hard and Semi-Pro.
After the November 1, 2008, episode of SNL, Wiig was spotted with Joe Wurtzelbacher (aka Joe the Plumber) at a post-taping party.Eisenstadt's Blog: Joe Canoodles Cast Member (November 2, 2008) The episode featured a cameo by presidential contender John McCain.
