Robin Matthews, the Makeup department head in charge of K-Stew's makeup for New Moon, Eclipse, and The Runaways, told Nylon Magazine that Kristen Stewart is the most "chameleon-like" actress that Robin has ever witnessed. Robin says part of it is Kristen's bone structure, which lets her be made up as a beauty or a wreck just as easily. Robin makes sure that Nylon gets that the physicality of Kristen's acting plays just as big a role as makeup in Kristen's ability to look so much like the characters she portrays in movies. Once I read the script, I begged for an audition. The script showed completely different sides to the characters. It fleshed them out. You see that the power balance between Edward and Bella is actually really skewed and more interesting. We have a girl who is insanely naive and has no idea what she's getting into, yet she trusts herself enough to put stock in what she feels and gives up the power to him. And he's afraid and tortured and entirely conflicted, whereas she's not. She becomes the assertive force in the relationship.
