James Kraft started as a traveling cheese salesman, and the company evolved from his J.L. Kraft and Bros. Company, which was selling 31 varieties of cheese nationwide by 1914. The company went public in 1924 and became Kraft Cheese Company. It was first acquired by National Dairy Products Corporation. James Kraft died in 1953.

Pizza Roll Ups and Sauce Recipe from Kraft Kitches
Ingredients needed: 2 Tbsp. butter, melted, 1/4 tsp. Italian seasoning, 1/4 tsp. garlic powder, 1 can (13.8 oz.) refrigerated pizza crust, 1 cup Kraft 2% Milk Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, 2 Tbsp. chopped onions, 1 pkg. (9 oz.) Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh Shaved Oven Roasted Turkey Breast and 1-1/2 cups marinara sauce. Heat oven to 400°F. Mix butter and seasonings until well blended. Unroll pizza dough onto baking sheet; press into 15x10-inch rectangle. Brush with half the butter mixture; top with cheese, onions and turkey. Starting at one short end, roll up dough to form log. Pinch seams and ends together to seal. Position log lengthwise, seam-side down, in center of baking sheet. Brush with remaining butter mixture. Bake 15 min. or until lightly browned. Let stand 5 min. Cut into 12 slices. Serve with marinara sauce and a crisp mixed green salad.
Oreo Fudge Ice Cream Cake Recipe
OREO & Fudge Ice Cream Cake Ingredients for Oreo Fudge Ice Cream Cake: 1/2 cup hot fudge ice cream topping, warmed, 1 -8 oz.) Cool Whip, thawed, divided, 1 pkg. (3.9 oz.) JELL-O Chocolate Instant Pudding, 8 Oreo Cookies, chopped (about 1 cup) and 2 vanilla ice cream sandwiches
Pour fudge topping into medium bowl. Whisk in 1 cup Cool Whip. Add dry pudding mix; stir 2 minutes. Mix in chopped cookies. Place 4 ice cream sandwiches, side-by-side, on 24-inch-long piece of foil; top with half the Cool Whip mixture. Repeat layers. Top with remaining sandwiches. Frost top and sides with remaining Cool Whip. Bring up foil sides; double fold top and ends to loosely seal packet. Freeze 4 hours or until firm. Makes 12 servings.
