Knowshon Moreno

  • Running back Knowshon Moreno was selected 12th overall in the 2009 NFL draft by the Denver Broncos. He played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs football team.

    When Moreno makes his National Football League debut with the Broncos, he will be wearing jersey #27, which was previously worn by late Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams.     After redshirting in 2006, Moreno made his college football debut with the Georgia Dogs in 2007. He recorded 248 carries for 1,336 yards and 14 touchdowns, plus 20 receptions for an additional 253 yards. His performance was honored with Freshman All-American and SEC All-Freshman selections, as well as the SEC Freshman Offensive Player of the Year award.

    Continuing in 2008, Moreno was selected as a pre-season All-American by ESPN and a pre-season All-SEC pick. He went on to record 250 carries for 1,400 yards and 16 touchdowns, plus 33 receptions for 392 yards and an additional two touchdowns.GeorgiaDogs.com: Knowshon Moreno
