Kitty Pryde, also known by her codename Shadowcat, is a fictional character from the Marvel Universe best known as a member of the X-Men. Pryde has been written at different ages in varying incarnations, although almost always younger than the rest of her teammates. Because of her age, she is often written as a more innocent character to contrast the older, established, and sometimes jaded characters in her teams. She has been romantically linked to a few other mutants, most notably Colossus.
