  • Charities

Kitchenaid has donated mixers and portions of mixer sales to a variety of causes. After 9-11 one hundred KitchenAid mixers were made and donated to the New York City Fire Departments as a thank you for their efforts and heroisms. Another 100 were made later and sold on eBay, with the proceeds going to 9/11 charities. When they sell a pink mixer ten percent of the sales goes to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. KitchenAid also came up with The Cook for the Cure program which allows individuals to host a party to promote breast cancer awareness and provide opportunities to donate to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. To date, the Cook for the Cure program has raised more than five million dollars.
