  • Five Minutes for NBC

Due to strict regulations by the National Football League, the host network of the Super Bowl is given only five minutes to advertise for the network. With ads for Super Bowl XLIII fetching an estimated $3 million per 30 second slot, NBC plans to make the most of it's five minutes, which translates to around $30 million in advertising for the network.
