  • Background

The Followill brothers, Caleb, Nathan, and Jared, spent a portion of their youth traveling the Deep South with their father, Leon, who was a preacher for the United Pentecostal Church.

The Followill brothers, Caleb, Nathan, and Jared and their cousin Matthew began playing music together in 2000.

After signing with RCA Records the band was introduced to Nashville based record producer Angelo Petraglia. Petraglia is credited with introducing the Followill's to rock music. Prior to them meeting him, the bands music was rooted in country and the religious music they heard growing up.
