Reviews
- "Jonsson and co-writer Hans Gunnarsson keep the film's slightly off-kilter comedy... suitably understated, a cue that both the young newcomers and vets Staykov and Nurmi ably follow..." - The Hollywood ReporterThe Hollywood Reporter: The King of Ping Pong (March 7, 2008)
- "The film is so slow moving and dull (aside from the occasion cool shot) that I just kept mentally checking out. When a film clocks in at 107 minutes and feels 3 hours long, that's not good." - Film ThreatFilm Threat: The King of Ping Pong (January 22, 2008)
- "Part deadpan nerd comedy in the 'Napoleon Dynamite' mode, part miserablist childhood saga a la 'My Life as a Dog,' this isn't quite funny or poignant enough to pull off either." - VarietyVariety: The King of Ping Pong (January 25, 2008)
