King Kong

  • King Kong is a classic 1933 film about a giant ape named Kong. In 2005, the film was remade by director Peter Jackson.
  • Plot

    The film's plot follows director Carl Denham as he searches for a young girl to star in next animal epic. He finds the hungry and unemployed Ann Darrow, famously played by Fay Ray, and takes her with him to an uncharted island in search of the legendary beast "Kong." Once on the island, Ann is captured by natives and offered as a sacrifice to the beast, which falls in love with her and protects her.

    Denham and his men capture Kong and bring him to New York to display to the public. In New York, Kong breaks free of his bonds and escapes with Ann, who he thinks he is protecting, and climbs to the top of the Empire State Building, where he is attacked by planes and meets his tragic end.
