  • King Crimson is an English progressive rock band whose music is heavily influenced by classical music, world music (including Indonesian gamelan music), jazz and group improvisation. One of their first concerts was at a free show in Hyde Park, London (that was put together by The Rolling Stones) on July 5, 1969. Their debut album, In the Court of the Crimson King, is their only gold record in the United States.

In the 1990s, Crimson began prolifically releasing live recordings. Some were recordings of more recent live performances, but many were classic shows from the '60s-'80s.
