Kimberly Matuska, a 23-year-old from Darien, Illinois, is the ex-girlfriend of former police officer Drew Peterson. In May 2008, Matuska was called to testify about Peterson before a grand jury.
On December 17, 2008, Peterson, whose fourth wife, 23-year-old Stacy Peterson, has been missing since 2007, said he was engaged to another 23-year old. He told reporters that he will not identify her because the "last time I had a relationship, you guys screwed it all up." On December 17, 2008, Drew Peterson's spokesperson confirmed that he was engaged to a 23-years old. When questioned by the media, Peterson said, "I can't believe this is happening" and added, "How the f--- did this get out?" He made reference to the relationship he had with Matuska by saying, “Last time I had a relationship, you guys screwed it all up. The police had her, the grand jury had her.
