In a book written by a Japanese professor, Toshimitsu Shigemura, it is alleged that the North Korean leader Kim Jong Il died in the autumn of 2003 and has been replaced by look-alikes. It is believed that he has as many of four body doubles that are used to pose for photographs and stand in at ceremonies. In September 2008, Jong Il had not been seen in several weeks. This led to rumors of Jong Il's possible pending death, or perhaps that he is already dead. Officials in Seoul say he has diabetes and heart problems.Telegraph: Kim Jong-il 'died in 2003', Says Japanese Professor (September 7, 2008)
