  • NHL Career

    Johnsson was drafted 286th overall in the 1994 NHL Draft by the New York Rangers. He continued to play in Sweden for several years after the draft before joining the Rangers for his NHL debut in 1999. After two seasons with the Rangers, Johnsson was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers on August 20, 2001. He played with the Flyers until the 2004-05 NHL Lockout, when he played in Switzerland for the Ambri-Piotta in the Nationalliga A. After one additional season with the Flyers, Johnsson signed a four-year contract as a free agent with the Minnesota Wild on July 1, 2006.
