Killzone 2 is the third installment in the science fiction first-person shooter series developed exclusively for the PlayStation 3 by Guerilla Games. First announced at the E3 2005 conference in Los Angeles, California, the game was released on February 27, 2009.
Story
A substantial portion of the game takes place on the Helghast home planet of Helghan, two years after the Helghast assault on Vekta. Players take on the role of Sev, a battle-hardened veteran of the special forces unit known as the Legion. From trailers and screenshots released thus far, an ISA orbital infantry invasion is taking place in the Helghast capital city of Pyrrhus. Screenshots depict heavy resistance by the Helghast defenders, including street battles. Your goal is to capture the Helghast leader, Emperor Visari, secure Pyrrhus and bring the enemy's war machine to a halt.
