Mission 6: Suljeva Village
- YouTube: Killzone 2 Walkthrough - Suljeva Village Pt 1 (Time: 7:51)
- You're following alpha squad toward the village, and you'll have to cross some barren country on your way there. There's not much out here except a few collectables.
- Symbol! You'll first approach a makeshift-looking bridge. Instead of crossing it, head all the way to the left along the ridge to where a ramp leads down into the fissure. At the bottom, turn around and walk to the other end to find a Helghast symbol sitting on the wall.
- Return to the top and cross the bridge with alpha squad to head toward the refinery.
- Intel! The first intel case is easy to miss. Just as you cross the bridge, make a hard left, on the other side of where you went down for the symbol. Follow the fissure in the ground past a small wall to find the Intel case behind it, near the rock walls.
- Keep up with alpha squad as they enter the tunnels further along. You'll come out into a lab room outside the village before long. Take the elevator to the left when prompted by Rico.
- At the bottom, follow Rico through the village as he looks for the radio antenna. There are weapons and ammo scattered throughout the area if you want to trade up. This is about to be the site of a large engagement, so prepare yourself mentally.
- You'll arrive at the antenna control next, but you won't be able to access it. Rico will go running off in another direction, so stick with him.
- Symbol! Standing at the Intruder, continue down the hill. You should see and pass a large tower in the center of the village. When you're past it walking downhill, spin around and look up at it. The symbol is on the side of the tower you can see if you were looking uphill at the Intruder wreckage.
- Following the blood trail from the Intruder, Rico will find a building and kick down the doors. Inside are the majority of the marines you're searching for, tortured and executed.
- Intel! From the door, walk forward past the bodies and turn left to find an Intel case on the ground in the corner.
- When Rico's done talking, go to the back wall of the room, opposite where soldiers are tied up. There's a switch there to open the way forward.
- Doing that triggers a Helghast assault at the door you haven't yet opened. Get ready to take out the first three soldiers, who are standing more or less in the doorway.
- Get outside and get behind some cover to fight the dug-in Helghast trooper in the elevated position ahead. Then take a left off the raised platform in front of the door and follow the nav-points through the village.
- Note: As you move forward, you'll engage Helghast above, in front and behind your position. You may want to consider grabbing one of the enemy's LMGs to assist in this fight. It does a lot of damage and most of the enemies carry them.
- Your first big fight will come as you cross underneath the catwalks above. Take cover and unload on the three or four enemies in the open in front of you. Don't let them flank you!
- Keep an eye out for Helghast in the elevated area ahead and coming around the corner behind you. Rico should do a good job of keeping them off you. There are also one or two soldiers above you to the right, which will get a bead on you when you move forward again.
- When you've cleared our path, you'll notice that the Intruder is up to your left. Watch for a couple of soldiers up there, then keep pushing forward to a rusted-out Helghast van. Move up along the wall on the left and toss a grenade to clean out that position.
- Note: If you need fresh weapons, there are a few stowed on the Intruder.
- You're approaching the comms relay. Watch out for grenade launcher troops out front. Clear out the area before approaching the antenna. Evelyn will send you a transmission, which lets you know you're done fighting.
- As you come closer to the door to the antenna, it'll open and two Helghast will charge out. Be ready for them. Then proceed inside.
- Symbol! Turn left as you come in the door to find a hallway leading down to the right. Look on the wall above the hall ahead and you'll see the symbol.
- Note: The spiders in here are huge, but generally seem to leave you alone. That is, until you kill one. Then they turn on you (and Rico). They also are charged with Petrucite and will explode when shot.

- Continue down, stocking up on weapons (the new Boltgun is available on the racks here) before exiting. You'll be tracked by snipers as soon as you leave, so grab cover just ahead of you on that big steel canister.
- You need to move up to engage the sniper ahead of you. Sprint to the old van just ahead, and while behind it and safe, look up to the left. Another sniper is just getting into position there. Kill him quickly before he can fight back.
- Assess your situation, as there are three snipers left -- two straight ahead of you, up the ramp, and one ahead to the left, at a diagnal to your position.
- Move up along the right side of the van to the ramp, keeping lots of stuff between you and the two remaining snipers. When you can, run up to the low crates just ahead of that, on the left side of the ramp. From here, you can eliminate the two snipers set up in front of you, leaving just that one to the left.
- The last sniper is on the building where you eliminated the first, but further back. You're actually in a good spot to fight him, as he can't get a clear shot on you until you step out to take him on. Use Rico as bait and let him take a few shots to give away his position.
- Carefully step out from the boxes and look around the pieces of the wall to your left and you'll see him. Make sure he's not about to blast you one, crouch down, and eliminate him.
- Move up to where the two snipers were positioned and fire down on Helghast troopers ahead of you. You can also grab one of the many sniper rifles you just liberated.
- The Helghast are grabbing cover just below you. There are explosive barrels around that you can use in addition the standard methods. Just make sure you take up a position on the left side of the walkway, or they enemy can shoot up at you through the floor.
- With the front three or four Helghast dead, jump down and take cover under the archway. There are two more LMG gunners on the second floor of the building above. They run back and forth to give you an easier time shooting at them.
- You're clear into the building after that. Take the ramp.
- Symbol! Just inside the building, go right a few steps to find a small alcove with ammo. The symbol is on the left wall at eye level.
- You've reached the antenna. Climb to the top of the building and you'll find a control panel that is "broke." You get the job of heading out to the antenna and fixing it.
- You've got Helghast troops just ahead in the tunnel to the antenna. With the LMG from the gun rack inside, you should have no difficulty at all.
- Sprint to the end of the tunnel. The weird sounds you're hearing are two incoming ATACs. Run down to the end, climb the ladder, and quickly close the valve before the ATACs cut you up.
- Now dash back to Rico and get back inside. You'll get a transmission from Evelyn and a new objective of rendezvousing with your squad.
- Follow Rico back the way you came. When you exit the antenna, Helghast troops will be filling the area ahead to stop your advance.
- Grab cover and start laying waste to enemy troops. The LMG is still the gun to beat on this mission.
- Move forward through the alley where you fought the snipers. Grab cover, shoot whoever you can see, move up, and repeat. You should do fine.
- The area to the right also offers a ludicrous number of flanking opportunities. If you push that way, you can access the upper area where the snipers were stationed, plus you can get the drop on Helghast from the ground floor as well by getting behind and along side them. It's the best way to proceed.
- Clear the way back to the tunnel. The last soldier you'll face carries a grenade launcher.
- The path all the way back to alpha is clear. A cutscene plays when you get there. When it ends, dodge to your left immediately to grab cover against the onslaught of Helghast coming your way.
- Kill the ones that are the most immediate threat. There are a few on the run and a few behind cover that you can hit, despite the plant in your way. Kill all of them, then sprint over to the right and take cover there.
- YouTube: Killzone 2 Walkthrough - Suljeva Village Pt 3 (Time: 6:37)
- Under this walkway, you can find a staircase that leads to a spectacular tactical position. Take cover along the wall by moving all the way left of the staircase and you can shoot down on everything the Helghast have left for you -- including the grenade launcher trooper toward the back. Look for the explosive barrel near his position.
- Continue down there into the mine shaft. You'll be good all the way down two walkways until you find a gun rack and a staircase. Up at the top are two Helghast troops.
- Kill those two, then hurry up and take cover behind the crates there, but facing to the left. There are two exposed LMG gunners across the way on another walkway that you need to take out.
- When those guys are dead, back into the doorway you just came out of and engage the two sentry bots that appear above you. These things are like ATACs, but smaller, less mean, and easier to kill. Hit them with whatever you're carrying. There will be one on either side of you.
- After you've done that, take cover behind the crates again, this time facing toward the door opposite you. Two Helghast will blow it open and come charging. They're easy targets.
- Two more troopers wait inside the door. Kill them and turn left, where another is stationed down around the corner at the end of the hall.
- Keep going that way. You'll eventually come out to a train station, where you'll see a train leaving with your squad. You'll need to catch up.
- First though, you've got enemies all around you. Your biggest concern is the RPG team to the right. Leave them for later, as you can't see them from inside here anyway.
- Start by sniping out any enemies you can hit from where you are. Use the boltgun if you have it. Watch the troops to your left, as they'll come up the ramp to get you. You should be able to kill at least two to the right and four or so to the left.
- Note: Sometimes the Helghast will get underneath your building and shoot up through the floor. You can avoid fire by stepping back toward the wall.
- When you're clear, exit the building and head down to the left. Do a 180 to face the rest of your attackers and do your best to avoid rockets.
- Intel! While you're down here, face toward the enemies at the other end of the platform. Now turn right and walk to the wall. The last Intel case is near some girders and stuff, close to the wall, sort of hidden behind crates.
- Go all the way to the left side of the platform if you're facing the enemies, toward the railing. You should be able to move along here behind these crates to avoid RPG fire. This will let you close the distance on the two RPG soldiers and kill them before they can react. They're located at the base and halfway up the stairs.
- Go up the stairs and onto the walkway. You'll face more Helghast strewn all along the path ahead. Kill the ones in front, then take cover against the railing to shoot at the ones further away. One of those carries an RPG and you need to locate and kill him immediately.
- After he's take care of, you're just thinning enemy ranks as you move forward. Keep going and grabbing cover. Watch out for two soldiers positioned on another walkway parallel to yours on the left.
- As you go forward, the walkway will deviate left rather than continuing forward. Here you'll face a couple more gunners just ahead on the part of the walkway that turns back toward the middle. Grab cover and repeat the process.
- Symbol! The walkway turns toward the left, where those two soldiers were a little while ago. Then it turns right and comes near a wall over the train tunnel. Look up on that wall for the symbol.
- Follow the walkway forward and you'll get another cutscene to end the mission.
