Medals
The medals in Killzone 2 are earned by collecting ribbons, which are themselves earned by completing specific tasks or goals. For example, the Example Soldier Medal requires that players earn eight Good Conduct Ribbons, and doing so results in an increased amount of starting ammo. Earning medals often result in perks for multiplayer gameplay, such as earning additional points for assassination kills or headshots. Note that the clan-specific medals do not require ribbons to unlock. -
Multiplayer
In Killzone 2, there are eight multiplayer maps, each designed to support a different number of players, ranging from two to 32. There are five mission types, such as assassination and body count, which can be mixed and matched for each multiplayer game. Additional maps will possibly be added as downloadable content at a later date.GameSpot: GC 2008: Killzone 2 Multiplayer Hands-On (August 22, 2008)There are seven classes in Killzone 2: Scout, Engineer, Rifleman, Tactician, Medic, Assault and Saboteur. Most of these are pretty standard with predictable strengths and weaknesses, but each has two a unique primary and secondary ability. Players are not limited to a single class, however. Any class can also specialize in the secondary ability of another class.IGN: E3 2008: Killzone 2 Multiplayer Details (July 16, 2008)
