After postponing the latest premiere date of November 7, 2008 and several years of previous delays, the Weinstein Company announced the film is not likely to come out until early 2009.LA Times: Is Killshot Another Weinstein Co. Misfire (October 2, 2008)
Delays
- Killshot has been bouncing around for over a decade. Back in the mid-1990s when the Weinstein bothers ran the Miramax Films division of the Walt Disney Co, .the film had Tony Scott ("Man on Fire") directing Robert De Niro and Tarantino as the bad guys and Bruce Willis and Uma Thurman as the married couple.
- The film was ultimately made and Weinstein Co. had a distribution deal with MGM, Killshot was scheduled for release in September 2006, then October 2006, then again in later in 2006 before Killshot was finally removed from the schedule entirely. In 2008, Killshot reappeared on the MGM schedule late this summer with a November 7 premiere date but that date has also been scrapped.LA Times: Is Killshot Another Weinstein Co.
