  • The Kids in the Hall are a Canadian comedy troupe consisting of Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Bruce McCulloch, Mark McKinney and Scott Thompson.

    Their Lorne Michaels produced sketch comedy show aired in Canada and the U.S between 1988 and 1995. The show was known for it's quirky and surrealist humor. Their debut film, Kids in the Hall:Brain Candy, was released in 1996. They are currently working on an eight-episode television miniseries titled Death Comes to Town that will air in 2010.   • Name Origins

    The name "Kids in the Hall" is a reference to a joke often told by Sid Caesar. If his jokes failed, he would hold the kids in the hall responsible. The kids being new joke writers.
