• Academy Award-nominee and environmental activist Leonardo DiCaprio will be presented the first-ever "Big Green Help Award" by Cameron Diaz during the 2009 Kid's Choice Awards ceremony. DiCaprio is on the board of trustees of the Natural Resources Defense Council and Global Green USA and was the global chairman of Earth Day 2000. He founded the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation in 1998 to help increase awareness of environmental issues. DiCaprio also co-wrote, co-produced and narrated The 11th Hour, a documentary about politics and environmental consciousness.

• Nickelodeon's "Big Green Help" is a global campaign designed to "empower kids to take action on the environment and connect them to energy saving and earth-friendly activities in their everyday lives."
