Keyshia Cole is a Grammy-nominated R&B singer and star of the BET reality series Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is. Born Keyshia Michelle Mieshia Johnson known as Keyshia Cole, is a American recording artist. Cole was conceived by an African American mother (“Frankie” Lon) her father is a Italian national (Sal Cole), he once traveled to America to visit her for her 18 birthday. Cole released her debut album, The Way It Is, in 2005 followed by the album Just like You in 2007. Her third album, Truth, is scheduled for a December 2008 release.

In 2006, Cole's BET reality series, Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is, premiered. According to BET, it's the highest rated original program in the cable networks history. In 2007, the season two finale brought in a reported 2.9 million viewers.Following the controversy behind her mother Francine “Frankie” Lon past- drug use, suspected relapse, and crazy antics in the public eye, Cole decided to part ways with her mother and sister Neffie, who has taken Keyshia in as a young girl. Her mother and sister are very sadden by what has happened, they said in a radio interview earlier this year. Her sister “Neffie” feels, Keyshia is mad at her and their mother Frankie for doing the Frankie and Neffie show, which aired on the same network as Keyshia's hit show. Keyshia Cole is the new face for Luster’s Pink hair care products.
