    Kevin Edmund Youkilis was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 15, 2004. He would attend Sycamore High School where he would win the Amateur Athletic Union National Championship. He would move on to attend the University of Cincinnati where he was named second Team All-American in 2000 and in 2001.
  • Pro Career

    Youkilis was drafted with the 243rd pick in the 2001 Major League Baseball Draft by the Boston Red Sox. He would make his major league baseball debut with the Red Sox on May 15, 2004. He would become an important piece of the Red Sox roster with his flexibility playing excellent third base and first base. In 2007, he would help the Red Sox win the World Series, along the way he would pick up the American League Gold Glove award for first base where he recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.     On December 26, 2008, news agencies reported that Kevin Youkilis would join Team USA in the World Baseball Classic. Youkilis joins fellow Red Sox teammate Dustin Pedroia on the team.
