He can sing a song that could touch your heart and not all singers with a great voice can do that. The version of all the songs he sang are very good! You can feel the connections deep in your heart. I wish they will include those songs in his cd. More power to KEVIN SKINNER!!!!
francismorales added a comment October 02, 2009 05:47 PM| Reportagtfan4 .. if that's what makes you happy, then be happy with Barbara Padilla and follow her career. Why are you here telling people who to love. Start your own Mahalo page on Padilla and be the Pied Piper of her fans. What do you want here? What are you doing here? You want attention, leave Kevin Skinner alone, and start your own post.
francismorales added a comment October 05, 2009 11:14 AM| Reportfleurdelis .. what do the judges care about your "humble" opinion. they get paid in millions, something you couldn't even afford to think about. Kevin is now performing in Las Vegas, as part of his prize from AGT. So go ahead, say all the negativity you want. History has been made and is being made. You don't want to be a part of this event, go find you own little corner of the world. And whether you like it or not, in Las Vegas, Nevada ... ONLY THE BEST ARE ALLOWED TO PERFORM. Its a rule of thumb.
you can't accept that rule, too bad, go to your lonely little corner and cry alone. We're celebrating here. Go somewhere else and do not contaminate the smiles that Kevin brings to his world.
ksfan15 added a comment October 08, 2009 03:38 PM| Reportagtfan4 seriously leave Kevin Skinner alone. HE won the competition. Barbara was WITH him during it. Did you see HER fighting over the money the way you're arguing with everyone, trying to tell people who to like and who not to? I voted for Kevin from the first time he was on the show, and to the last part! What's done is DONE. So stop telling everyone he was bad! Since he WASN'T! Yeah, Barbara was good, but everyone liked KEVIN better! So stop arguing with people! If he was so bad then why did most of America vote from him rather than Barbara?!? Yeah, it was a close call, but geez! Get over it. .-. Sheesh. <_<'; (Yeah, That's right I said get over it, lol. :) Even if I'm young and stuff, I still know when someone's being rude and obnoxious just because someone they really liked, didn't win. Just look at the guys that were dunkin basketballs all the time! They were AWESOME but did they win? No! Because KEVIN and BARBARA both were better. But KEVIN ended up getting MORE votes. That doesn't mean NOBODY likes BARBARA! It's not like you have tried out for AGT, and when you do, we'll see how far YOU get yourself on there! If you can even get past the auditions! (Wow I feel mean, but it's true!)
gaidin added a comment October 09, 2009 07:37 AM| ReportWell Barbara music was great no question, but it's America's got talent and the heart of America will always be folk music the little man vs. a gaint. He "Kevin" was what most Americans could relate too, working hard, losing everything and trying for something better. Barbara only related to genra of her own, it was a battle with % and Kevins story and some heart touchings songs where enough to win over that %. Now Barbare will be fine like I've heard she has a master degree in singing. You dont sing like just driving in the car with mom. She'll be fine and signing duets with andrea bocelli in no time.
paulamarie added a comment October 15, 2009 07:28 AM| ReportKevin Skinner won because Barbara Padilla and the Texas Tenors split the vote of people who like classically trained singers, allowing the country music fans to break thru and put Kevin on top. It's a simple as that. Nothing against Kevin, but any one of the Texas Tenors or Barbara could out sing him any day. Where he beat them on talent was that he sang with emotion AND played the guitar beautifully at the SAME TIME! He wasn't just strumming along cords either. He played a lot of individual pretty notes without missing a one.
