Kevin Nealon is an American actor and comedian. After starting out as a stand-up comic, he joined the cast of the long-running sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live in 1986, where he stayed until 1995. While on SNL, Nealon became the anchor for the weekly news wrap-up bit "Weekend Update" in 1991 (replacing Dennis Miller and succeeded by Norm Macdonald). He also played memorable characters such as Franz (half of Hanz and Franz with Dana Carvey) and Mr. Subliminal. Nealon and the rest of the cast were nominated for an Emmy in 1987 for their work on the show.
After SNL, Nealon made appearances in numerous films, including many Adam Sandler movies such as Happy Gilmore and The Wedding Singer. In 2007, he landed the role of Doug Wilson in the popular Showtime series Weeds.
